Guires Pet Nutrition Lab (PNL) is a global pet nutrition science organisation, built by the scientists and evidence-based product developers of Food Research Lab — the Guires R&D Innovation Centre’s food science, nutrition, product development and pilot manufacturing lab, with 500+ products developed. We now bring that expertise to pet food, treats and supplements, with one goal: helping veterinary professionals put nutrition at the forefront of pet health conversations, so pets live healthier, longer lives.

Our nutrition scientists formulate every recipe to AAFCO or FEDIAF nutrient profiles for the target species and life stage.
Do you analyse the finished product?
Yes. Recipes are verified by laboratory analysis of the finished product, not only by calculation.
How is nutritional adequacy substantiated?
By formulation to a nutrient profile or by feeding trials, depending on the claim and market.
What quality control do you use?
Documented quality systems from raw-material checks to pilot-batch release, with testing through Guires Analytical Lab and partner labs.

Every Guires PNL product is formulated to comply with the FEDIAF Nutritional Guidelines and the AAFCO Dog and Cat Food Nutrient Profiles. Neither body issues certificates to manufacturers, so compliance is verified independently against their published standards — and every product comes with a complete documentation package for regulatory submissions in the EU, US, Australia and Asian markets.
